Tribute by High School Friends

An Open Letter to Our Darling Vivian

This is us reminiscing, this is us grieving, this is us shouting into the void to tell you that we miss you and you meant a lot to us. You held a special place in our lives and our hearts. There are no words that can be used to describe all the things you were for us.

As we take a look back to the very first day we met at St. Mary Goreth, girl you were already the star!

Our friendship began in the dormitory, where you became our leader right away. It matured in the classrooms were you shined best with perfect academic scores, and gladly volunteered to tutor anyone and everyone who asked for help. It bloomed on the sports ground, where despite your cute chubbiness, your utmost dedication to participate in every game was a clear motivation for all of us to jump in. It flourished in the assembly ground/ dance floor by Saturdays, as you could let loose and dance the night out like a Madonna.

We could always depend on you, when you became our school vice president, and we all received endless lists of favors from our ‘Golden Girl’. But most of all, our friendship just shined, when we finished school and remained friends, for you our girl could never let anyone go out of touch.

In short you were our group leader, class monitor, church choir leader, vice president, top performer, member of each and every club and just everything spicy and nice.

We can still remember how hard we cheered when you won best student in almost all classes, there were never hard feelings, because you were the best of us all and never rubbed it in our faces, not once, not ever.

And in our adulthood, we continued to cheer for one another, and you were an awesome cheerleader. How we will miss your Netflix movie reviews, parenting tips and of course, gossips of the Royal family of Windsor. Vivian you were the light!

Your smile will be one that we will never forget. We have learned that there is no better time than now to chase our dreams. To do all we can while we have the time — and unfortunately, your passing showed us this.

We’ll continue to pray for your family and friends, and we pray that you are in Heaven finding your way.

We thank God to have known you Vivy, thank you for sharing your beautiful heart with us. We love you Viv, and already miss you.
